I've enjoyed the story ... BUT feel that we are being deceived by the author. This is NOT a series ... it is ONE book that has been divided into 5 parts and that after the free first book will cost you at least $18 to finish!!! To me a series of books are books that contain a new storyline but involved characters from the previous ones. These very short books stop abruptly like you are at the end of a chapter, without settling any of the issues brought up. You go to turn the page and find out it's the end! So yes Geri Foster, you hooked me on these books but I will not be duped into buying anything else written by you and hope that others looks before they leap into your "free" book. I'm in the 3rd one and my fear is that when I get to the end of book 5 you have decided to keep these going and I still don't know the information I've been looking for since book 1! :(Product details

I loved this book but this is another of a series of books where the author has split a long book into mini books that are not a complete books unto themselves. I like a book series where a central character may reappear with a different plot line or another character in the first book is expanded upon in his or her own story. But I can't help but feel ripped off when I realize the author has split their book to make more cash. This first book was free to draw you into buying the other four books. This is why I gave this book which could have been a five star review, three stars. The author is talented but, unfortunately, in my opinion is greedy.
This was a pretty good beginning to a story but l regret reading it. It has no ending and is essentially just a partial story leaving you hanging as a come on to purchase the next book in the series, and chances are that the whole series is set up this way.
This book is a cliffhanger!!! I would really like to give this a zero but I'm not given the option. Nothing is more irritating then reading half a novel only to find you have to also purchase a second book in order to know the ending. I will not be purchasing anything written by this author again.
The story was great, but I assumed this was a stand alone book and would not have ordered it if I had known that it would be continued in another book!!
It seems like a deceitful way to get people to order more than one book from this author.
I am like some others readers--if I could give it minus stars I would. Not because of the story itself, but the fact that there is absolutely nothing resolved in the book by the end. In reading about the rest of the series, it doesn't sound as though there is ever any wrap up of any parts of the story--perhaps there will be yet another (#6).
I really liked the plot and would have liked to see some closure (almost any would have done--but nary a one was in sight by the end of this first book. About the only closure might have been that the 'mean old neighbor' actually takes her part and stands up to others in her behalf. I received it free on my kindle, but even that isn't very consoling with no closure.
There is nothing I hate worse than a book that has no ending and forces you to buy the next book to get an ending. I had really enjoyed the book until the end.
